Secret of Soul Photography

Physical beauty of a woman or a man is one thing..of coarse "it's a good thing"...BUT it's not enough, in my opinion you have to go deeper as an accomplished photographer by bypassing the physical  bodily structure and teasing out the Soul, which is the heart, the emotions,the REAL smile,the snsuality and the honesty who your client really is and has...good luck though...it's not easy, especially in today's complex society...We all have been used and abused, cheated and hurt and have bcome for the most part distrustfull....but the Soul is there in everyone wanting to come out and be loved but it's fearfull to take too many chances of exposaing itself for yet another chance to be hurt.  So the photographer has to become somewhat of a servant to his or her client by ignoring  our own ego and learn how to tease the soul out of a person you have never met , it's like becoming a little bit as a psychiatrist......so the music is blaring, the strobe flashes are glaring and the dance begins and your client's soul perks-up and if the photographers efforts are honest the client's soul will recognise it and slowly will start dancing with you...no matter how rich or sexy or beautifull or handsome they are they'll join you especially if tey're paying "Big Bucks" for the shooting and are eager to jump start their career......so here are some helpfull hints....I personally discourage the clients of bringing their boy friends...girl friends...relatives to the session..unless you're shooting children....because what almost always happens, the visitors will try to be helpfull by suggesting their opinions and comandeering the per son your shooting..and if the photographer does't take controllof the situation (in a nice way) you shooting will never be as good as if it was just you and the one you're dancing with......Mindas (:-)

Painters of past centuries took weeks or months to come up with a portrait in oils or water color and if the client thought their expressions where not to their liking the poor painter would either loose the comission or spend weeks to correct the problem to the clients liking........TODAY it takes about 5 or so minutes to come up with about 10 to 20 exposures and if the photographer is good  at shooting people, he or she will come up with enough variety to satify the client and go to the next wardrobe change.......and the next.....and the next....end of story...Mindas    (818) 905-5866
